Man - seriously overpriced for what you are getting! Look at the quality and options you get with a custom Carvin guitar - and they're half that price for anything comparable. (and I'm not even a huge fan of Carvins....)
That guitar is long enough (tip to tip) - can you imagine how long a bass version would be? Probably 5' tall if standing up! The case alone would weigh 25 pounds.... and you'd better be standing real still on a roomy stage while playing it, otherwise you'll either impale someone or be knocking stuff down left, right, and center when you turn.
Spinal Tap needs a bass like this...

I think it would be the best bass ever.
Email the company and ask. I like the scalloped frets.
Billy Sheehan's bass has scallopped frets (in highest registers - last four or five frets)
