Long ago I played a couple of gigs with Jeremy Bush, drummer for David Crowder Band. We had a lot of common musical interests and we'd chat about that when we saw each other. Now I've not spoken to him in years even though we now live in the same town.

I'm current friends with Alton Jones, Elite Series angler and winner of the Bassmaster Classic a few years ago.

That depends on how you define "knew," and how you define "famous." I dated Gillian Anderson in school (star of the X-Files TV series), and was a hod carrier building Jean Claude VanDamme's mountain retreat in Telluride, CO. I also used to work at Cygnus restaurant in Grand Rapids, MI, where many famous people (Presidents, rock stars, etc.) would eat, and some of them would meet and greet the staff. I also worked at VanAndel Arena in Grand Rapids, and met many of the artists that performed there. So, I guess you could say that I've met a lot of famous people, but only know two.

I grew up down the street from "Little Mikey" Wells, former Chicago Bear. He was beat up almost daily back then. He's still around and does much charity work in the St. Louis area.

Bill Haley is a distant cousin. Met him once as a kid, which I don't remember.

Dan Peek ( From "America") has a brother I know, who will be in town and attending a party my band is playing next weekend.

a good friend of mine recently joined a pretty famous UK band on guitar. i doubt he (my mate) would get recognized in the street, though. maybe one day!

through music i know a reasonably well-known producer/bass player. we don't socialize much outside of music, though.
