I try to answer in a helpful way, but my answers often include personal experience, because it's the way I learn things. Thinking back, I realize that hearing a person's story, however irrelevant, is a lot more interesting and convincing than their half assed opinion on something they know nothing about. Also, some people are hard headed about taking advice, and relating an experience instead of starting with "You should......." seems to work sometimes.

I do both! A more or less helpfull or stupid answer followed by a stupid meme.

I try to answer the OP with the most accurate response I can give, but if by doing so there is a response that quotes me and is contrary to what I've written, I consider what is written and either agree if it's factual or expand my point if it's not. I try to use facts and logic as the basis of my responses, but of course I can be wrong as no one can know every factual occurrence. If I am just delivering an opinion, I state it.

They were probably done after the artist had consumed a generous amount of a certain type of mushroom. (At least that’s what I’m hoping. )
