wolfs said:My name took me an inordinantly long time to learn how to spell when I was a small child, my full name that is:
Cian Loughlin O'Day
That said, most people think that I'm misspelling my name and pronounce it as "Cain"... plenty of people think that when I say my name (which I pronounce like "Ian" with a soft "C" in front) that I'm mispronouncing my name... they think that my name is spelled "Sean" and I should pronounce it accordingly like "Shaun" or "Shawn." So there's that.
Then there is that fact that I am, in fact, mispronouncing my name which as anyone from Ireland canand willtell you that it should be said like "Ian" with a hard "C" in front... but I tell them that this is America and we call 'em the Boston Celtics (soft "C") not the Celtics (hard "C")...
So, yeah, my name's a nightmare. I usually don't introduce myself to people, I just start talking... let that stuff take care of itself...
