Do you ever use delays?

I use delays a lot of the time.

During a couple of the more trance-like, meditative church songs, I use a reverse delay to really thicken and swirl around the bassline in order to add to the song.

I also use a lot of delay in the band's movie soundtracks, to get various sound that are needed.

I use it on occasion. I have a Red Repeat, and I love it. It's a true analog delay. If I set the echo and repeat to 10, it will feedback on itself and increase volume indefinitely. Once I have a good noise loop going, I can change the length, and get the a real time effect of speeding up or slowing down tape. Pretty cool, to use once in a while.

Overall though, I keep it really simple. If I use delay at all, it's only once per set. For the most part, I like to keep things simple. I learned a long time ago, that the more stuff you have, the more stuff can go wrong.
