I found out recently that a guy I used to work with (before we both retired), and a gamekeeper that I regularly spoke while out hiking had both died of it.

Someone who knew they had it went for a drink in my local watering hole and infected about 40% of the people in there that night, thankfully nobody died as a result. I haven't been in since before the first lockdown and won't be going back anytime soon.

Someone liking my post from 7 July made me revisit the thread and change my vote. We have and currently know folks who have had it. We now have friends who have had family members pass away due to COVID-19 complications.

I and my wife both had it, she went to hospital I ended up in ER diagnosed with pnuemonia , sucked. My neighbor had it, a good friend and his daughter and girlfriend all got it, my uncle and his wife have it now hopefully they will be OK.

My wife tested positive for covid-19. Myself and my daughter went yesterday for testing, no results yet.

None of us exhibit any symptoms at this time.

Found out today that the singer in my band has it. I saw him (masked) last weekend, but I'm going to get tested first thing Saturday morning since most testing locations here are closed today and tomorrow. I've felt fine all week, but I plan to stay home until I can get tested.

yup I had it, a off and on fever for a couple of weeks and a sore throat for a few days that was it for me. I tested positive for about a month with no symptoms before it went away. my wife got really sick and was in the hospital for a month and a half. hospital called 2 separate times telling me they were not expecting her to make it through the night. that was not fun but she pulled through. this was back in July an is just now getting her taste an smell back

I caught it first week of Nov.
Recovered at home, tested pos for antibodies first week of Dec. I felt a different kind of fatigue when I had it. Slammed me for a few days.

Quit smoking first day of symptoms. Been 52 or so days without a cigarette, so that's good.

Been hearing of more people I know that had or have it.

Going by the news in LA, we will all know someone who had it.

Be safe, believe me you don't want even a mild case of it.

Have to update my earlier response with another death of friend's uncle who had ties to my family, which brings the total of people either my wife or I have known up to four. He died Christmas morning :( The number of positive cases keeps rising as well for friends and family members.

I know quite a few now. Most of the younger people(under 40) were just kinda crappy for a few days or wouldn't even know they had it without contact tracing causing testing. A couple of the somewhat older(60 and up) people got pretty darn sick and one was in the hospital with pneumonia. Luckily I know no one that has passed.

Just got a call from work to say three guys on my shift have tested positive, one already in intensive care.
We're all (15 of us on shift who qualify as 'close' contact') getting tested today.
Given that we're a small operation, already barely coping working at severely-reduced manpower levels, this could shut us down.:(

Spoke to my nephew on Christmas Day. He'd just come out of quarantine after catching it from his girlfriend. Lucky he found out and hid himself away as he spent Christmas with his mother who is recovering from cancer.

I know of about 30 people (friends, family and aquaintances) who have had it.

2 died from it.

About 4 I know got seriously ill for about 3 to 5 weeks.

2 that I know well that were young and in excellent physical shape got serious long term damage. One (a young woman teacher I work with got Bell's Palsy from it. Another good friend who was a gym rat and could be on the cover of Men's Fitness, months later can't walk 2 blocks without having to rest.
