what does fret zero mean? never heard of them sorry

a zero fret is a fret that goes behind the nut before the first fret it makes the open string sound like a fretted note to add consistancy

i think i'll get one, price is awsome and greate for starting a project....i contated the owner and he told me that soon he will have the bodies to go along with, you just need to add the pops,and bridge and tuning machine.. complete for under $1000.00 (7 string)

other than that the neck construction is seem very very good. a lot of ''things'' for the price, like scarf joint , fret zero , dual acting rods , hard Maple and Ebony...i think it would cost more just for the material alone!!! loll

I'm pretty sure its their own size neck joint, you would have to make a body for that exclusively.

Yep the site is way ugly, hey i bought a neck from them, i will have to make my own body ...no sweat.

they told me they where new on the web..and yes the site is ugly as hell ( at lease they admit it! loll) they plan to fix it , when the orders will slow down a bit...

cant wait to see the neck ( i got a 6er)

Zero frets have been around forever. Many of the Japanese import basses in the 60's and 70's used them.

It's not really a high-end thing, a lot of basses don't have it, not even the high-end ones. I like them.They turn the nut into nothing but a string spacer, which makes a lot of sense to me. Why do you bother filing the nut so precisely when the strings sit on nothing but shallow Vs on the bridge end of things?

Another benefit is a much more even string height off the nut (zero fret that is).

Hey! i got the neck today

first impression : this is an amazing neck , no flaws on the finish! the Ebony is black as hell, i cannot wait to show you some pics!

i'm gonna get on the body now...
