I've sold so much stuff in my life and its always at a loss even if its a little. Anything old that you paid $350 and 30 years later is worth $1500 is like a lottery win in my books.
You need to be careful when you're buying...
As an example, in the past few years I found a Fodera Emperor 5 for $2500, a '78 Jazz for $850, a 55-02 for $500, Fodera Victor Wooten for $3000 and few others... I'm quite sure that I can sell them for these prices, can't I? If I'm selling a bass and can't find the price I want, I sell it overseas...
