I hate my house and I hate the city in which I live.
I inherited the house I grew up in, jammed with all my late parents' accumulated crap, in a city I couldn't wait to leave growing up which is filled with people too banal and pig-stupid to live.
I'm not physically able to get this place in shape to sell and spend much of my time in repairing it.
Where I live is a source of ongoing, chronic depression.
Hate it, hate it, hate it.
This is troubling and unhealthy. Can you not divest yourself of some unwanted items via a sale or some donations to charity in order to free up more 'me' space in the house?
Are there no birds-of-a-feather type social clubs in your area where you could meet folks who share some of your outlook on things?
Perhaps volunteering for a cause which you believe is a worthy investment of your time?
If you're in a rut then get out and push where people can see you trying to improve things. Someone may be inspired to help.
