Do you name your basses?

Not a person name. But my main bass was named before I received it and has been generally referred to as such in a public sense since then. Particularly here, people will know what you mean by saying it...

Who's got time to name their instruments ? when you have to express yourself on Talkbass about cheap vs expensive, tone wood, and why 4 strings as in Jaco is more than enough and anything more is foolish. And somewhere in between, we gotta practice like 5 minutes with 15 minutes of setup and strip down.
