Yep great album...but there were a lot of great albums back then. Zep was cranking out great stuff and so was Uriah Heep. I was mostly amazed by Humble Pie. In a live competition Pie would have been hard to beat in '73. Ian Gillian was a great singer but Steve Marriott had amazing energy and stage presence. He was a force of nature.

Yep So So many great bands back in the mid 70's. Love Zeppelin obviously. Here in Ireland and the UK, Thin Lizzy were huge. Their live album "Live and Dangerous" has been regularly voted best live album of all time in various rock publications and well worth a listen.
My personal favourite from that era is "Made in Japan" by Purple.
Never got into Uriah Heep but loved Humble Pie.

I also loved Humble Pie big time. With the live stuff when they had Frampton you had the power of Marriot's voice, a monster rhythm section combined with the almost jazz playing of Peter. Frampton was a great guitar player that got overshadowed by his later success.
