What is with folks like you. I'm married to one of you that love popping other's zits. She gets such satisfaction out of it, and I'm puzzled by it.

We'll be laying in bed and she rubbing my back. I get all relaxed and then all of a sudden - pinch, pop, OW!

Or she'll look at one, and then say, oh it's not ready yet and then spy it to see when it's good and ready to pop so she can get a good "bean" out of it.

And it's not limited to zits either. She's just as obsessive about blackheads too.

Personally, I'm tired of it. Sometimes a man just wants to relax and not have someone mess around with his skin.

I think this is one of the few threads on TB I've actually gotten sick from.

A teensy tiny bit, but still :crying:

Anyway.
Looking in the mirror I have a few pits, but I zop them pretty regularly so they never get that big at all.

Also, Maki, where the hell is that ingrown hair located?

Do you have a Lemmy mustache?

I just discovered a new ripe one over my kidney, and IMMEDIATELY had to check this thread.

I spent 1-1/2 hours last night after leaving this thread, perusing Youtube for all those hideous zit/cyst/boil popping videos. HOLY CRAP.

We all know those internet pictures floating around of motorcycle accidents and the bloody gore involved with it. Right? I've always had a morbid fascination with that stuff, and it does not gross me out. It's intriguing to study the medical aspects of accident victims and how the body can be ripped to shreds and then put back together again.

BUT HOLY CRAP if these zit videos aren't 100 times WORSE than the deer through the windshield accident photos! Or the pictures of bull-gore victims from Pamplona Spain! Or the man who got his face sliced off from industrial equipment! These zit videos are REVOLTING!!!

There was one, ONE video last night that made me hit the back button. Holy moly. BLAAARGH.

Who wants to see it??? ;D

It's on the left side of my face just to the left of the left handlebar of my fumanchu.

EDIT: Except replace the word "left" with the word "right". I'm such a tard.:rollno:

Am I the only one that keeps going back to watch that you tube video of the dude getting that cyst popped on his neck?

You and I definitely differ on this one. I'm going to spend the rest of my life trying to forget that I ever saw that damn video. I like a good zit-popping as much as the next guy, but christ, I was waiting for cockroaches to start pouring out of the hole in that dude's neck like at the end of "Creepshow."

That was a very amazing and unique video. I absolutely HATED the language they were using.. They all sounded like gutter-rat gang bangers with IQ's of about 75 or so. But those were certainly very real reactions of horror at what was happening before their eyes.

I could not believe that the boil they popped contained that much pus!! What was the string-like thing they cut off from the 2nd 'batch' I wonder? That so-called 'scapel' was about as sharp as a well-used pocket knife. :smug:

Wise up, people! What's the mystery? We're large primates, for god's sake. Social grooming is imprinted on our genes. Sheesh!

That wasn't a zit. That was a cyst.

Wiki:

A cyst (soft "c", rhymes with "list") is a closed sac having a distinct membrane and develosion on the nearby tissue. They may contain air, fluids, or semi-solid material. A collection of pus is called an abscess, not a cyst. Once formed, the cyst will remain in the tissue permanently and can be removed by surgery and by taking medication that will dissolve the "sac".

That video shows a hardened tissue cyst. It wasn't slimy or liquidy, which is why it took so much effort to get out. The stringy anchor was where the cyst was attached to the muscle and growing from. Fibrous material anchoring it.

Still. It must have been pretty satisfying popping that thing.
