I used to try and set my action as low as possible but over time I have realized that I really like the sound of things better when I set it just a little higher than that. I have come to the conclusion that I don’t enjoy that slight buzz that happens sometimes. I like a very clear sound.

Just a tad past low action for me. Prefer just a hint of what I'd call feed back (for lack of a better term) in my fretting hand.
For me : I like an easy going relationship with my basses. As with my wife 
she can go wild though as my basses when I play harder …

I honestly didn't think about it until now. But hey. I've got all of my basses set in such a way that if my playing is sloppy, they let me know about it. So I guess I do!
