Not sure why I stringed it that way though, but I am sure there was a reason.

I can't give you much for it but I can guarantee it will be restored. I restore Aria Pro IIs. I have seen too many of them parted out.Yup, mostly because it's too beat up for me to get anything notable for it anyway.
It's an Aria Pro II Laser Electric with active pickups, that I now has converted into sort of a slide baritone bass.

My first bass was bought out of the Sears catalog in '74.
It was a no name black Jazz copy with a rosewood neck. Owned it for a few years.
I do however still have my first "good" bass, a '77 SD Curlee bought brand new that year.
It was the first thing I ever financed as well. I was 18.

It's not like I don't use it.
It's just not used as bass anymore.
If anyone's interested in hearing what it sounds like as a baritone tuned C (1½ step higher than a guitar A string)- C (1½ step higher than a bass A string) -G (Same as a bass G string)- C (same pitch as first C ), and used both as slide baritone and fretted (which is hard since I raised the strings quite a deal), take a listen to this track I made with friend (the start is picking of the strings between the tuners and nut):

I gave my first bass to a local school when I realized that I couldn't play a 34" scale bass due to health problems.....It was an Ibanez GSR200 like this...

I also quite like where we were going with that EP (the last 3 songs me and my friend made together as Electro Jar).
Unfortunately it is unsure at the given time weather I will ever get to make music together with him again.
Also what I meant was just that had my Aria Pro II not been in such a bad shape cosmetically (I basically ripped out the input accidentally by stepping on a jack plug while it was plugged in, which broke the wood around the input, and then pieced it together again by cutting out a piece of hard plastic and a piece of tin can, drilled a hole in the middle and glued it together and on the inside of the cavity holding the electronics. As well as I broke the metal pin in the pickup switch by wiggling it too brutally and for too many times back and forth in order to change feedback tone swiftly to produce a "bip, bip, bip" sound I needed in one particular song. Plus the fact that I practically never did anything to keep it in shape and further more didn't treat it very nicely when playing on it.), although it's functionality miraculously hasn't suffered any damage, I would most probably already had sold it, before I would have had any chance to eventually find a new purpose for it in my music.
As it turned out it is in fact very useful for me now, and I love the sounds I can get out of it as it is.
Also I am quite pleased with still having my first bass, which was previously my main bass for years, since I have been through a lot musically, and made a lot of great music with some great people and musicians, with it.
There have just been some points in my life where I would sell any musical equipment I wouldn't have any immediate use for, but have gotten to a point now where I regret it and know that won't ever happen again.
