Metal-archives.com is another good site to look up band names. They have a lot of info on obscure metal bands. There are usually a dozen other bands who have already used the name you are considering.

I know that feel... Especially hurts when the bands in question split up by the 90s with only one demo released. Adds so much insult to the injury.

On a more serious note, I've always wanted to call a band Ritual Suicide, but alas that name has been taken by THREE metal bands according to the metal archives.

Excellent band name! "Very Perspicacious", "Most Perspicacious" or just "Perspicacious". People misspelling, tongue-twisting etc be damned. Heh!
