Do you use a wireless?

I have a Line 6 G50 mounted under my board. I’m not running around or doing anything wild but it’s nice to just turn the pack on and go at a gig. I have an A/B Saturn Works with a toggle switch that has a cable on one channel to be able to switch quickly if there’s an issue. But so far I haven’t had an issues. I’m doing 70-90 gigs a year on it.

I also have been using the Shure GLX16D+ for a couple of years now and it's been rock solid. I like to move around the stage and from time to time walk out into the crowd to check the sound quality of the mix. I like the pedalboard format of the receiver (it's a tuner). If I were to spend a little more and go UHF then I'd consider the new Shure SLXD14+ unit. It's a rack format but covers the entire US frequency spectrum.

I bought one decades ago and figured out fairly quickly that there was a noticeable (negative) difference in tone using it versus using a cable, so I sold it to one of the guitarists in my band and have used a cable ever since. I'm sure they are light years better these days, particularly on the more reasonably priced end, but I've just never felt the need to try again.

Been using the Line 6 G30 since it first came out about 16 years ago with “0” issues. That being said I needed another wireless system for a weekly “small” gig I play. I tried Xvive U2 (2.4Hz) but got a bit of interference. Returned it and ordered the Lekato 5.8Hz (up to 8 hour charge life) and have had zero issues, and only $53.99.

If I end up replacing my G30 (it’s discontinued) I’ll probably go with the Boss WL-60. It’s 2.4Hz but has 14 channels should work fine. One thing I like about the G30 is that you can use standard 1/4” cables instead of using something proprietary ans expensive.
The Boss WL-60 also uses 1/4” cables and is about the same “footprint” as the G30 on both transmitter and receiver.

Here are links to both wireless systems:

Yes, since I once almost tripped over my bass cable.

I use Line6 G50, G70 and G90, but they are discontinued by Line6.

Now I bought a Shure GLX-D+ as substitute, built like a tank and very stable HF connection with perfect sound.
I use an inexpensive lekato wireless set, from Amazon. Works great. Played many gigs with no issues.

Never used wireless live. I tend to stay pretty close to my rig; so it wasn't really necessary. I have run audio for bands that used wireless vocal mics, instruments packs, and IEMs.

I do use wireless in my basement. Bought a used Xwire XR905 a few years back. It sounded every bit as good as wire when I first got it, but has developed some sort of companding issue that causes the volume to jump a bit on the decay of notes. I have continued to use it. May eventually get a Shure GLXD+ or something else.

For context I have a bunch of amps and cabs spread around my basement. So it's nice to not have to deal with an instrument cord that is run across the room and dangling across furniture.
