Do you use the Deep switch on your Mesa D800?

Do you use the Deep switch on your Mesa D800 or D800+? Personally, I do. I start with the EQ flat, engage the Deep switch and then back-off the bass EQ slightly. I play a p-bass with flats and really like the old-school thump.

I don't use it when I'm using my Subway 115 cabs (either alone or in pairs) but it really does help when I use just the Subway 112 cabinet. And my sound is the polar opposite of old school thump

I haven't been, but I think I'll start with the "Rock Control" settings from the manual and see where it takes me just for giggles. I'm using the D800+ and either 1x or 2x Subway 112 cabs.

No, and I typically cut the bass down a couple notches. The amp has plenty low bass in it, at least with my G-B 115T Uber and 1 , 2 , or 3 Berg AE112s.

I use the deep switch for lower volume situations only, unless, I need to mimic a boundary effect when I'm outdoors. But I regard it as a turbo boost only reserved for certain situations. Power robbing low end can be a factor at higher volume settings.

I don't use it; I'm running my 800 thru 2 Markbass 210's, they have plenty of baked in low mid/bass, along with Mesa's low end focus...I'm good.

My basses and playing style tend to be bass heavy so I've not used it much at all. With the 112 by itself I tried it once or twice, but I tend to be a HPF user so that switch (at least on the D-800) is the opposite effect I typically add. Now if I end up buying a + version, that switch, the variable HPF and the voicing control together might provide some intriguing tones.

Yup, with the bass a hair below noon, and the HPF at 9. Slight bump of low mids at around 180-200Hz.

For the short while I owned a D800 I used the deep switch on one gig. It was good in the Reggae band but too much in everything else I do.

I prefer pushing the low mids to boosting the bass.

Was my preferred way to run it when i owned the 800+. That amp is a little tight/stiff for my preference so the extra low end was nice. Combine that with cutting the bass knob and tweaking the hpf to taste helped it get a sound I liked.
