Oh I'm buying the first Boneshaker I can get my hands on.
Just please don't let the distributor make this another semi-neverending B-wham affair![]()
A delay? I thought this was a distortion pedal.
Best wishes in getting those parts, Tom. There's a moratorium on buying pedals anyway, at least 'til the end of March...
Ba dum tssss!A delay? I thought this was a distortion pedal.

Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be still stuck on the MMM by the time this comes out. You'll be crying from the sidelines while everyone else gets their pennyfarthersI'll be out of MMM by then, enjoying my FREEDOM!
Why don't you just bow out now‽ Since you already know you're not going to win. Nobody here gave you a penny for your thoughts on this, and I couldn't give a farthing about your freedom, 'cause I won't be crying after winning the M³.Why don't you just bow out now‽ Since you already know you're not going to win.
Oh, and I appreciate your confidence in my winning it.

Meanwhile, I've been rewatching Boneshaker demo vids again today. This thing Ӄℜ℧ϟℍ℈Ֆ‼
Buy me the ADA Flanger at Moog, just don't give it to me until after I've won. I'll be sure to act surprised!
ADA before or after the Farthing??
*** are you guys talking about
You're out! You just talked about it, the first rule... So now you can buy me the ADA, and I'll gladly bow out gracefully as I slam the ADA with the PennyFarthing. Speakin' of slammin'...

The thread title "BoneBreaker" is apt for a Penny-Farthing bicycle. You sit so high, above pretty much the balance point like a unicycle, that if you're cookin' along and hit even something small you go OTB (Over The Bars), kind of — unfortunately, your legs are essentially trapped under the bar as you flip forward. In that sense, there's lottsa bone shakin' goin' on with the Penny-Farthing... broken collarbones, jaws and more... such fun!
Classic examples of PF crashing:
That's racin'!
Speed-wobble crash.
Replace the modern bicycle "eyes" with a proper boneshaker and voila! Great art for the DOD pedal.![]()
Or an alligator boneshaker? Sure! 'Twas the first!
☜ Karl von Drais' contraption that outraged town authorities in 1817.![]()
Ahh the days of cobbled streets, steel "tyres" and no cushion for the pushin'.

The improved steering ☝ ability of his next design didn't meet with much more acceptance from authorities.
Bonny blacksmith Patrick Macmillan didn't like trundling along and introduced pedal-power to the mix in 1838. With that, the idea started to catch on around the world.![]()
In 1880 The League of American Wheelmen was formed, lobbying hard for better roads and were successful, road-surfaces became paved.
So all you cage drivers out there owe a rather huge debt to the humble bicycle paving the way!
By 1888, the pneumatic tire made bicycle riding much more pleasurable and it was taken up by postmen and many other delivery personnel and by police doing there rounds and even the military. It continued to gain further popularity with the public, too.

Note the different frame designs, the latter bearing a close resemblance to the Penny-Farthing's frame. The saddle is pushed all the way back, great for long-legged riders and better weight distribution. Note also the addition of the simplistic rear brake!
It'd be fun to make a modern Boneshaker out of Titanium, 700c front wheel, 26" back, Brooks Ti-rail saddle. Roadie-style rim brake at the back wheel (maybe even a cable-operated disc-brake...nah, that'd ruin the lines!)...
The Boneshakers of yore could weigh up to 60 lbs! ☞ Titanium Boneshaker with carbon wheels ... drool
What else is there to do until Wentz the DOD-gone-Black-Arts-box arrives, but to explore all things ...

If you wanted to keep is looking kind of vintage, you should probably get those Michelin airless wheels. You know, it's not just for specialty vehicles anymore, they have made bike prototypes:

Seriously though, I hope the pedal comes out soon![]()
That reminds me...
