Monsieur Ernest Michaux, le fil de Pierre Michaux, l'homme qui fixé pédales à un vélocipède d'abord.

Perhaps it was at the behest of son Ernest that prompted Pierre to power up the "hobby-horse, or vélocipède, with pedals.
Some history suggests a worker, Monsieur Lallemont, in the employ of M. Michaux made the pedal suggestion.

Now imagine the stomp-switch at his feet, and Ernest's head rising just up above and betwixt the "Distortion" and "Depth" knobs. Or perhaps that scale is wrong and it would be better his head be "crowned" between the "Low" and "Mid" knobs with nothing but clear sky amongst the upper knobs/labels.

So many graphic possibilities...

BTW, I've got a lovely boneshaker pic I shall commemorate the release of this devious DOD-device-with-a-Penny-Farthing-on-it into the wilds of the free enterprise market and those eager awaiting bass players' hands. I think many of you will like it.

Okay I've noticed that there are a bunch of pics of these old timey bikes and was wondering what do those bikes have to do with the dod bonesharker. but then I figure that these particular bikes are called boneshakers. also I haven't noticed the guy with the bike on the pedal's design. so now I understand what do these bikes have to do with the pedal. the dod boneshaker was named after the boneshaker bikes.

Yes, the reason why a few people, including me, are teasing DOD is because they put a Pennyfathing bike on their pedal instead of a Boneshaker bike.

The whole bike thing is thrilling and all but, someone please just @ me when there's actual news.

Also @DigiTechRep, I know the eagle hasn't quite landed yet, but I think all of us here want to say THANKS for keeping us on your schedule once again.

It's all good folks. The pedal is cool, its graphic, lettering and other ornamentation on it is retro-cool.

Vélocipède, Penny Farthings and Boneshakers are all cool cousins from the bicycle family. All good!
I teased when the pedal was first announced, but I'm not intending to tease anyone now, I'm just very interested in this pedal drool and exploring other possible graphics I'd like to put on my own Boneshaker pedal when it arrives — it's something fun to do while we wait; and hopefully will generate some interest in the pedal for anyone that may have missed it (unlikely as that may be, there're always a few).

I'll be sure to "@" you LSMFT6 when there's real news from Digitechrep, and I completely agree — he's been stellar in keeping us in the loop on any/all developments.

Meanwhile enjoy the Boneshaker of the Day...

"Give it a rest" ;)

I've been enjoying the pics! I think an etched image would be very cool, I'm curious to see what FF chooses.

We're still on schedule for early April arrival, and you're not the only ones clamoring for the Boneshaker. My inbox is flooded with people who want to demo and artists who want to endorse. Rest assured that Juan will have one of the first ones too, he's my hermano. Plus I know he's champing at the bit to try the Boneshaker and uh, another pedal...

Thank you for saying "champing at the bit" instead of "chomping" like the rest of stupid America.

Please send one to Excane as well! I meant to email you. I email Mark and totally spaced.

If not, I'm sure he'll buy one and demo it. Or I'll buy one and send it to him. haha
