DOD Gunslinger Mosfet distortion only 30$

Just came across them on ebay for 30$ including shipping! There's only 1 left for that listing then the next cheapest I saw are 40$, here is the one I bought: DOD Gunslinger Mosfet Distortion Pedal 691991001369 | eBay

Strangely enough it says it has 4$ shipping now but the one I literally just bought says free shipping... Anyways 34$ still seems like a great deal, even the 40-50$ ones are a solid deal compared to it's 100$ normal new price.

I could only find this short video for bass:


Sounds pretty great, I couldn't resist trying one for only 30$ :woot: Never tried a Mosfet distortion but they sound pretty interesting.

18v was half the reason I couldn't resist! It seems like a solid pedal even for the normal price but I am a sucker for sales :roflmao:

Also that video of yours is short but good, it definitely sounds like it would be fun on bass too :thumbsup:

Is the second video B3K then the gunslinger? Is the B3K mosfet too as they sound pretty similar, though it could just be from your rig. Sounds good!

Thanks man! Yeah the second vid goes B3K then Gunslinger.
The B3K is CMOS.

Interesting, I did a little research and found this in an article on the B3K:

"Complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) chips are integral to digital microprocessors, but they aren’t inherently “digital” in our conventional sense of the word— there is no A/D conversion here. Other than their extraordinary utility in computing applications, a CMOS chip can be used as an analog operational amplifier, since it contains a series of MOSFETs, the transistor type renowned for its tube-like distortion character."

There's a nice long thread on these pedals from when they were newer, seems like a lot of people like them on guitar and bass!

Some of those other DOD sales have tempted me but I have always wanted to try a MOSFET pedal and the gunslinger seems hard to beat.

In the video I prefer the B3k more than the DOD. But I mean come on, for the price of each the B3k better sound better right?

I bought the Gunslinger for ~$30 a while back when it was previously mentioned on TB. I like it. It's not the most amazing but it's nice, and it's nicer to put on my small secondary board than the cost of another Darkglass pedal for a secondary board.

With the recent announcement about DOD I bought a second gunslinger just in case. May set one for high and other low gain and see how I like having both options available.

I bought a gunslinger a while back as well and have been warming up to it. I think different supply voltages really change how the pedal reacts; I like running mine at 12v on my board.

It’s a great pedal for $30 and does everything I need it to do, plus more. Also, it’s understated look is kinda badass.

Man if you think that's bad here's the description from the manual for the Donner Ultimate comp:

"Entirely gaining and boosting the distortion degree of metal. Has the special and strong distortion effect"...

It's a solid compressor for the price but damn, it's like they copied and pasted the already bad description for some metal dirt pedal.

12v-18v rules for it, haven't even bothered trying 9v though I want to do some comparisons for fun.

It sounds pretty cool. I did thought of getting one at one point, but ended up buying a different distortion pedal instead. still it sounds great on bass.

Overall, I've been pretty disappointed with the new line of DOD/Digitech pedals over the past few years, especially the reissues. I have bought several and have sold/traded each one. Wish I would have waited for these crazy sales to roll around instead of spending full price for them when they first came out.

Having said all that, I still may buy a Carcosa someday.
