DOD Meatbox vs Boss oc3 vs MXR BOD??

Hi everyone, im in the market again for an octave pedal.
I need a pedal that can do subby sinthy stuff (the weakness of my micro pog in my opinion) but can also be there for filling space and give the hole band sound more meat and energy.
My teacher has lent me his Boss oc2 for a few mouth and it was cool, but my stingray's output is too high and clliped it and it sounded bad.
I'm going to use the new Octaver with Hardwire CM02 tube Overdrive and Darkglass B7K (and maybe a Big muff Deluxe).
Any help and input about the pedals and experiences with them are welcomed.

I really like the MXR for what you seem to be describing. It definitely did a cleaner job than my OC-2 tracking light duty stuff on my Precision bass. You may want to consider using a compressor going into the octave to tame some of the peaks that send it into a warble. My BOD tracks great, but almost flawlessly down to G using some compression before it. I'm not a fan of the OC-3 at all.

I personally like the OC2 unless you want to solo the sub synth sound, because it just doesn't get loud enough. So in light of that, I'd say try a Cog T16 or a 3leaf Octavbre (or Octabvre Mini). They are more expensive though.

I voted MXR. I use one and really like it. Tracks much better than Boss. It can get synthy if that's what you want. Sounds absolutely killer putting a fuzz pedal after it.

Check out the 3Leaf Octavbre Mini - it can nail the OC-2 and Mutron octaver sounds, both pretty synthy.

I have a COG T16 which is awesome, best tracking octaver ever and when blended sounds like a natural extension of the instrument... but I think the 3Leaf might just come out on top for the synthy soloed octave sound.

I forgot to mention it, but my budget is around 100-150$ max... I'm sure all of that 3leaf audio, cog and iron ether are killer stuff, but I can't afford them .
Thanks for the input anyway, right now it looks like the MXR is the way to go.
