Does adding a cab to a Rumble improve tone or just volume?

I get your question. I love having 2 15s stacked. Can’t quite explain it, probably because it’s closer to my ears.
More tone?? more volume?? I use tube amps so the wattage didn’t change.
Try tilting your combo or better yet try or build an amp stand or put on a on a table.
Good luck trying different cab combinations, it’s fun indeed.

I bought a 10 Band EQ and I have an amp stand. I just haven't been able to give the Rumble a fair try with those bad speakers. When the new amp comes in, I'll try everything, including the tone guide from the Rumble Club. If I like the sound but I need "more", I'll try out a 210 cab. Thanks.

There’s a lot of low bass there in the amp. It’s good to pull that down a bit, then bump up the low mids to get more note clarity. I think note clarity on bass resides somewhere around 100-300 Hz.

Yeah, on my Stage 800 the bass setting is at about 10 O’clock. It gets too muddy on anything after that.
