Getting old sure beats the alternative.
Anyway it's not so much the age but the regret of throwing away previous years (or not living up to expectations). It was almost like I'd woken up and suddenly I was 25!
"As men age, they get rougher... more rugged... Women ? They just get less desirable... Its a sad world"
Nip/tuck.
In the words of Tammy Wynette...
Sometimes its hard to be a woman.
In reality, its hard most of the time! Especially for older women.
When you're a 30 y.o. female bass player, "Wow, look at that hot chick up there playing bass! She's gorgeous!"
When you're a 60 y.o. female bass player, "Wow, look at that old woman up there! She's good, but...dang, look at that arm flab wiggle. Gross!"
Sigh.
Cherie
HeHe... Armflab. Just hilarious. Human beings are funny creatures man.

It's not the age that counts - life gets richer all the time, but I'm with Txbasschik - the physical effects suck!
At the moment I love swimming, ice skating, playing tennis, skiing - all will become limited with age though I've every intention of carrying on as long asw I can - we have to enjoy good health while we can - no matter what age we are.....
I'm turning 45 this year... I've been fairly lucky but when you are in your twenties you don't have a clue how much filth and trouble you are going to put up with the upcoming years.
In my opinion the balance between moments of real happiness and misfortune isn't always that positive... I tend to feel that there are less moments of happiness than troubled times.
Problems with love, work, money, health...You can call yourself really lucky if you can get to 65 without some serious bangs against your head. Just look around you. Again : I've been fairly lucky but life isn't easy and a struggle for a lot of people. Just try looking at a young girl without feeling "older"A bit more way out of your league ...
