i think the squier vm jazz really exceeds in price. the necks they come with are a bit dodgy as far as straightness but the tone is so money! Is there anything on the high end that is similar in tone? I would endorse this bass if i could

Yeah. Its a shame that something affordable has comparable tone to an overpriced Fender copy.

Man some people are easily offended. Maybe they should have just bought the Squier and used the money they saved on a sense of humor.
I started a thread about this a week ago,I went to gc planind to spend up to 1500 on a jazz,ended up buying a Squier vm.I think it played and sounded better than anything in th price range I was looking for.
