Ok so I admit that it's an amazing tool and is a brilliant way to learn a new song.
But no matter what tune, riff, beat, groove I come up with it always seems like I have the absolute worse timings when putting it into guitar pro.
A buddy of mine lives like 400 miles away and we kinda write music together but it's kinda hard given the distance. I don't have a decent recording set up (mic and audacity / android app) and can't afford to improve it so the easiest way is to send each other guitar pro tabs to get the idea's across. Or at least I thought it would be.
I play to a metronome and it all seems real easy, it sounds good so I try to record it. My last recording you could hear a house alarm from like 4 blocks away more than you could hear the bass, mic facing the amp and the amp pretty loud.
Luckily I can make out enough of the tune so I don't forget it but can I get it onto guitar pro without the use of 64th's and tied notes? No.
I'm not really looking for help more just ranting and hoping I'm not the only one out there. Guitar Pro is fantastic when it works but I don't half wish there was a way you could record the music and it do it all automatically for you!!!

), so I've started doing everything on FL Studio; now I just have to get our guitarist to do the same. The piano roll on FL is much more intuitive to write than classic notation or tabs IMO.
