Does anybody *not* have an awesome rig?

I run my MIM Jazz V (with Tapewound strings) through my 1x10 BBT500 Yamaha combo with a bunch of pedals.
It's not 'Awesome' but has enough power for me at this stage, and does everything I need.
I would like to have an extension speaker but I'm not really complaining.
I'm finally not underpowered.

I'm one of those guys who doesn't mind saving up for something I want bad enough.
It took me almost a year to save up for my Reeves 225 and it still was not easy money by any stretch of the imagination.
I just hate feeling like I've settled for less when a bit of patience and good budgeting gives you something that will last a lifetime.
I've had lean times too running a Peavy Mark III after my '73 SVT head was stolen.
I purchased my '73 SVT with dual cabs, covers and dolleys when I started playing steady at age 19. Back then $1500.00 was a lot of money, but I took out a 2 year bank loan and got the real deal AND
established my credit paying it off way early.
I paid $250.00 for my then used '64 Jazz Bass and $450.00
for my used Rick 4001.
My first bass, which I still have was my '66 Hofner which I received
for my 14th birthday in 1967. It was on sale in the store in Germany
for 400DM which back then was $99.00 USD.
I played that bass for the first 2 years through my home stereo
until my father brought home a Sunn 200S from his shop.
Then I found a used home made 2X15 for $250.00 loaded with JBL's
Back then I wanted it bad enough to practice 4 hours a day minimum.
So I worked my way up to pro gear after I was good enough to play
in clubs on a regular basis.

I wasn't even playing bass when I was 16, but my amp was a Stagg BA-20 (20W, 8" speaker) for the first 3 years.

then moved up to a cheap hartke when i needed some more power.

Point is when I was 16 and when most of us started we had not so great equipment. Work on your playinga bit. save some cash along the way, and when its time. Get yourself that bumping rig when the time calls!

It seems everytime I see people post their amps on the site, I always see amazing rigs that I can't help drooling at. Ampegs, high-end GK's, Bergs, Marshalls, Edens, Epifanis, Markbass, and the list goes on. Well, I'm a 16 year old high school junior with no job (hopefully that will change soon) with this whopping powerhouse as a rig:

Yep, painfully puny compared to the big rigs that are the norm at TB. So this is a thread where I want to see people post their crappy, small amps. No good rigs allowed. Post away.

You started out better than I.
I was stuck with an 8" Peavey Microbass for about 1-2 years.
Now I rule all, and am quite happy about it!
