Does anyone have experience playing surf rock on bass?

Not the greatest recording, as I didn't have as good of plug-ins as i do now. It gives a general idea a decent tone for surf bass.

Me rocking out to some man or astroman. Lots of triplets. Jazz bass with some super slinkys into that vintage ampeg sound works just fine for tone.

Shame this thread ran out of puff. Interesting reading. I’m not a surf music bass player so I have no tips to share about playing bass, but I was a surfie and like the music.
A couple of classic Aussie surf music instrumentals. I also can’t help but throw in Brian Cadd’s ‘Come With Me’ from The Morning Of The Earth surf flick. Captures the haunting beauty of waves and the ‘at oneness experience’ riding them. Still makes my soul quiver
