Does anyone have Starry Internet? They're installing it in my building but I'm skeptical about the technology. But 200mbp for $50mo? That's pretty awesome.

It's not satellite - it's 5G. Presumably 5G doesn't have that problem.
It looks interesting, that's for sure.
Between 5G and satellite internet, I think consumers like us are going to have more choices in the near future. That's a good thing.
Around where I live, Comcast is it if you want fast (over 100Mb) internet.

I asked them about that and they said it's not an issue. Your phone isn't affected by rain.

It sure is.
We'll be seeing more developments in the world of home internet in coming months. Amazon and SpaceX are laying out their own low orbit satellites to provide internet service to more people.
Then you have Sprint and Verizon offering home internet on their 5G network, and no doubt others will follow.

Dang...I keep reading this as "starry interest." I thought it might be a thread about astronomy...
My town (Fort Collins CO) is installing a municipal wireless system. I'll take a serious look at it once it reaches my area. Currently I have the option of very slow DSL over phone lines installed in the late 60's, vs. Comcast.

Same options here. The fastest DSL where I live is 1.5mbps. Comcast is the only game in town and although I hate that they have a virtual monopoly, I can't complain at all about their service.
