Does anyone heard about bass brand "Harmony"??

[One Way]

Although not a bass, here's my Harmony Rocket. I received it as a Christmas present 53 years ago and still have it, the picture is current. Played it in my elementary school band back in the day.

This is an old Harmony that a guy I play with has. It was broken (body crushed), taken apart and repaired by a guy in New Orleans years ago. It has some serious mojo.

I have a Harmony Strat copy that may be nothing special, but the serial # dates it to '76...missed a birth-year instrument by 2 years on that one!

I have the same model! It was my first bass. A work friend of mine sold it to me for $50 when I was in high school. Still have it. I got my start on this bass and eventually upgraded but always held onto it for nostalgic reasons. Now my oldest son dug it out and is currently restoring/modifying it.

I got one kinda like that but the bridge saddles are too tall and i am probably going to have to grind them down {the bottoms} p

Installing a shim in the neck pocket might help and be much easier than grinding the saddles.

i thought about shim, however wouldn't that negatively affect the transfer of energy from the neck to the body?
