Does anyone know anything about the Aria IB-STD Integra Standard?

I saw a used Aria IB-STD Integra Standard bass in a guitar shop yesterday, and it looked pretty interesting and I could probably get it at a low price... But I can't find any information about it. The only information about it I can find is that it was made between 1988-90 according to this website: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I don't have any pictures or anything, but it was black, had a bolt on neck and two single coil pickups. Also the neck didn't seem to be made of wood and the fretboard was smooth and black

Thanks for any help! :)

Here are the specs from the catalog (available on Aria USA's site, it's the 1989 catalog):

I have an IB-STD in black as well, it is kind of an odd beast. It has 26 frets and a phenolic fingerboard (not rosewood like the catalog states). They weren't around for very long at all. I bought mine for the sole purpose to have autographed by Jason Newsted at a Metallica show several years ago. I think the bass plays and sounds great, too! A few more pics if you want to check it out...Mine has a huge chunk of finish that peeled off on the back, too.

I've had that happen too: see a cool bass in a shop and go ask about it - 'oh, that's only here for repair.' :)

The IB-STD's seem very rare, but if you can find an older Integra, I'd check it out. I think the SB-Integras (the original model) are the best of the bunch. Definitely the best construction - three piece neck, MASSIVE bridge with fine tuners, very good electronics and pickups, nice neck. The later versions were nice (IGB-600s are light, easy to play and punchy) but you can tell Aria definitely cut corners compared to the SB-Integras.

Hi guys,
it may be a little bit late for an answer

but I found this thread when looking for data about my Integra ...
The Bass ist M.i. Japan, I would give it away for the same price as labelled. ;)
