does anyone on here like their action high?

I consider that measure a standar action. with 3 mm at the end you will get about 2 mm on the 12/15 fret, thats Fender and Sadowski claims as a standard height for their basses...

I won't argue. I hate using metric for action since 1 mm is a huge difference in action.

I have mine set just high enough that there is absolutely no fret buzz but no higher than that I guess you could consider it a medium height

I prefer medium action I like to pick pretty hard. And even with low action and heavy strings I still dont like it.

I can't stand the sound of strings rattling against frets and hitting a pickup is unforgivable. Sometimes it feels good to play violently. My action is probably on the higher side but I wouldn't say insanely high, though I don't have any numbers.

you can lower the pickups when you lower the action to place them at the same distance you have before, dont you know?

This is true, but if I lower the action at all the strings will start hitting frets when I pluck too hard. I would like to work on playing a bit more softly though.
