I did this very thing last year with a Mod Shop P Bass. Found a new American Performer Jazz neck through Stratosphere. They're on eBay and Reverb. They buy new Fenders and part them out, because they're shrewdly filling a giant market hole and money left on the table by Fender. They could put Stratosphere out of business immediately by making the Mod Shop actually a mod shop. Want a Strat with a Tele neck? Jazz with a P Bass neck? And on and on.

I have a 2021 Fender Pro II Dark Knight 5 string Precision. They were only offered with a maple neck. The Pro II TTSB gets the rosewood. I wanted a Dark Knight 5 string with a rosewood neck. I contacted Fender directly and they told me in no uncertain terms they would "not" sell me one. So, Fender was no help. Internet was a bust as well. But after watching for 3 months a 2021 5 string Precision neck with rosewood (actually ebony) neck surfaced on Stratosphere. Not cheap! Think $500 usd. But I now have the coolest Dark Knight ever.
