Pretty sure the Nut is there, your right to say its a similar colour as the wood. How the strings have been strung however looks odd.

The strings appear to go through slots, but the nut color is so much like the fretboard color that it's hard to tell.

No.

Certain natural bones yellow just like that, and IIRC there's Tusq that's just that colour as well.

Being a Peavey, I doubt it's real bone. Looks like a colour-manipulated picture. There's definitely a nut on there, though.

It's a tusq nut and they turn that color. I've owned a few of them and they were that color.

Being a Peavey, I doubt it's real bone.

And, being a Peavey, I doubt any of 'em still sports the original brittle plastic nut no'mo' .

Yes, there is a nut there. My Millennium has the same color nut - no color alteration.

The strings however, definitely need installed properly.
