Does this effect exist (octave delay thing)?

OK, peeps.

So my band's been covering Howlin' For You by the Black Keys. The bass part is uber simple. I started using my Badger Schism and got the idea that I could run an octaver thingy in front of a Prunes & Custard in one of my parallel loops to get that higher funny synth sound that's going on....but then I got kind of a better idea.

Does anyone make a pedal that does a clean octave up (and maybe even two octaves up) that you can also set a delay on?

For example....I could be playing that Black Keys song my normal OD bass sound and then have the higher almost "guitar using a P&C" like sound above it....but I could use said octaver to put it slightly behind the beat....or maybe even a count behind....or two.

I know, I know. I could get a cheap delay pedal and add that after the P&C to do this...and I think I could get a chorus pedal, put that in front of the octaver somehow and do it....but space is at a premium....so is there an octaver than can delay when the note is coming out?

If not...get on this, someone....or maybe that would be more of what someone who build parallel loopers could do....they could add a slight delay option into one of the channels.

Am I even making any sense? :hyper:

urm. Pitch Factor i THINK let's you do delays with the pitchin' shiftin's, but it's big and expensive with a funky psu. the Red Panda Labs Particle does a lot of pitch shifting play, but it's more weird stuff.

i don't know that song so i'm kinda stabbing midgets in the dark here.

If you can find an old Yamaha Magic stomp (any of them will work, it doesn't have to be the bass one since you can load any presets on it), it has a delay with a pitch shift. I used to set it with any amount of time, and a perfect fifth up for the delay. I could also set the other repeats to different pitch levels as well. Say the first was a fifth below, and then the next was an octave below.

First off....if midgets deserved stabbing his name would have been Willow Ufbad.

Second....yeah...that's the problem with octave ups....they're either way more expensive and space consuming than the effect deserves....or dirty.

Ooooo. That sounds cool, Joe. I don't suppose it had a blend where I could take out my clean note, though, eh? That would be perfect.

You know, I don't remember. It's been a few years since I've had one. I think it had a way of being able to do that though. The parameter control and variations were fairly extensive. I think the phaser must have had 50 different parameters you could set.

So I'm gonna go out on a limb and say maybe? :hmm:
