- Occasional Beta Tester for Confusion Studios, Singular Sound, and Source Audio
I do some very limited work with MIDI. Basically, I have my Eventides and my Line6 M5 chained together. I'm going to be chaining my incoming Beat Buddy with my Pigtronix Infinity Looper as well. Unfortunately, the M5 and the Infinity are both "dead ends" for different reasons. I have no idea why the M5 doesn't do MIDI through with its in and out jacks, and the Infinity only has a MIDI in jack. I have only used this for MIDI clock but I want to expand my MIDI capabilities. I also have a Source Audio Manta but have not yet bought a Hub (nor do I have short-term plans to get one).
So what I really want in a MIDI controller product is the following:
(1) Control additional functions on my Eventide units (which I'm currently doing with auxiliary footswitches)
(2) Send patch changes on INDEPENDENT channels for the Eventide units, M5, and maybe in the future, Source Audio units through the Hub---access to these PC commands and the control functions of (1) would, ideally, be straightforward and easy (for example, I could switch between which unit I'm controlling without any super special programming)
(3) A footprint more in tune with the Decibel 11 Pedal Palette than, say, the Behring FCB1010
(4) Bypass looping a plus but not a requirement
Is there some product out there that does this that I'm not aware of?
