1st. If tuneh didnt find himself in an orchestra its his own matter, i will not be surprised if form his side he would not play in any orchestra and i will not be surprised if no orchestra will take him. (ist not noly about good playing or not- This is not the matter, ist also about the way of thinking, individuality etc., i guess that not everybody is made to do the same job for life, some may need freedom, nothing wrong about it.

2nd. As much as someone tries to defend him, there are many others who try to put him down and to present him as a strange poor person, sorry guys that not fair!

3rd. Last but not least: Mr. Tuneh is one of the best own something very very special, very unique, unmistakable. Fact is he already changed the face of bass Performing.

I will continue to follow his work and enjoying his way of playing, after all the guy is playing the bass with all his budy and soul.
I wish that everyone out there would do the same, everyone in his field.

Surely I’ll go to catch Masterclass with him, for me ist a must to meet and to him experience live, not only as a great bass performer, also as a person.

Best

Dave.

For clarity, if anyone cares to know, there were a few issues at once in the former thread: Guy Tuneh's street-cred-rock-stardom & TB's recognition/lack of it, criticism/criticizing a master--him or any master, & the last is performing tactfully (or the amount of dancing you can get away with) in an orchestra or in the OP's case, quintet. Quintet? Or sextet. Whatever.

There two more things I'd like to mention:

Once again I'm not Guy Tuneh (there are some things that i would like to be like him - but still I have nothing to do with him)

What the F++k is going here? so he moves, so what ?
What about the T-Shirt the he wears in the Elefant Video, isn't it bothers no one?
lets begin a thread about it also....

As some of U mentioned moving is not so rare, so why make such a big deal about GT moving here or there...?

Fact is: Tuneh is outstanding by all means & we have to learn to deal with that. its not easy to know that some one like him just out there doing his "thing", we are all bassists try to make music, and than from the other side this GT remaind us of all what we could or couldn't be… (or Do)

Radu.
(& that my real name!)

Ye right!
Tuneh is a impostor, sick guy, controlling/manipulating people worldwide to help him with PR, he is a cat-eating-Zombie-Monster works undercover using my name to take a part at that forum…
What's up Folks, aren't you going to far?

If I would be GT, after what happanes here I would take part to try to make some illusionary people come down.

For all of You who just cannot stop,
a nice nugget :

Tuneh & shehata leading the Bass-section of the West-eastern Divan Orchestra under Barenboim.

You can see Tuneh (00:20 − 00:38)
among many other stars (Braunstein & Co.) sitting near Mr. Shehata 1st. Stand right behind the Cellos near the most left flute player (on the left side of the Video), and guess what, they all move, toghter, every single one in that Orchestra is moving with the Music and with Barenboim.

If Barenboim will not appreciate Tuneh and his ability, there is no chance on earth that Tuneh would share the first stand with the Ex-principal of the Berlin Phil. playing with that Orchestra and under his conducting on those stages.
