I use the phaser on the Keeley Bubbletron. I've wanted to try others but this one just sounds so thick. Never needed extra eq and sounds great live.

My issue is really whether it keeps the level consistent. Right now, mine has a slight drop (perhaps perceived) and it's hard to make up on the fly without screwing everything else up.

Still trying to nail down a good phaser to use with my Source Audio Spectrum. There are a few in the user created section, but not a true phase 45, which is my preference.

The Source Audio Lunar is one of the best Phasers available and as a dedicated unit, it is superior to the limited phasing available on the C4. It's relatively cheap because it's an older and simpler device than the C4 (although it looks the smae hardware).
One of the many cool features with the Lunar is that it can use any of the modulation engines shared between the Gemini Chorus, Lunar Phaser and the Mercury Flanger. If ou attach it to a Neuro Hub, you have midi control. If you attach it to the new Source Audio Midi Adapter, you have midi control and access to the 6 presets via midi.

I've found the Whirlwind Orange Box, which is a Phase 90 circuit, to be basically perfect for a simple phaser. If you just want some swirl and don't need a ton of adjustment, I would imagine an Orange Box or Phase 90/95 would get there for you.

I heard the orange phaser online. Yea it's a beauty. Can't go wrong with a 90 or 100. The 90 is so standard that when you sell it you buy another.

I've never needed and EQ after the MXR Phase 90 which is my favorite type. I use the VFE Tractor Beam V3 (based on the MXR), and it has even more controls so no problems.

Phaser and Delay, and maybe Tremolo are the only modulation/time-based effects that work well with bass in a band situation IMHO/IME of course.

I think this could be why MXR only did these two limited edition I Love Dust (UK) graphic pedals. Good for guitar and Bass

I use the mini version of this w/ the bright switch engaged. I loved and owned the original carbon copy but when the mini came out w/ the bright switch, I got it and sold the original one. The clear repeats work much better w/ bass, and I like the original one better w/ guitar.

I've never really liked phaser on bass until I got my Source Audio pedals that offered so much control. I have tried and tried as I love phaser on guitar and keys ~ just prefer chorus and flange on bass.
