Donald Sutherland, RIP

He was great. It's unfortunate every headline has to put "Hunger Games star" so the masses know who they're talking about so people click on the links. He was great in those movies, but those movies are terrible. He was great in everything really.
Really made an impression on me as a little kid, in Don't Look Now, Klute, and Invasion Of The Body Snatchers.
He elevated everything he was in.
I remember walking to a meeting, in some out of the way borough in London, and suddenly the doors of the building, I was just about to walk past, burst open, and a very p1553d off Donald Sutherland came shooting down the stoops, in a flurry of coat, scarf, and hat - like a cross between Tom Baker era Dr Who, and a Whirling Dervish - straight into a waiting Rolls Royce, and sped away.
Took me by complete surprise, and once again, made one hell of an impression on me.

I don't know anything about Hunger Games, but I totally remember him from Dirty Dozen and Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Max Dugan Returns too.
I was about 10 when I saw Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and oh my did that movie creep me out.

Great actor. Loved him in damn near every movie he was in, especially Six Degrees of Separation. When receiving an honorary Oscar DS said holding up his statue: "I don't deserve this, I have arthritis and I don't deserve that either."
