I have an acoustic Applause (it's Ovation's Squier) just for playing some songs and singing along and it's quite fun. It's always good to get a different perspective on music from another instrument. I love the bass but I love music more. I think that since I started playing some songs on the guitar my bass lines have gotten more creative.

I do play guitar..I just play bass much more. Diversity is key. For me playing guitar helps me keep in touch with the melodic side of music and I use that in my bass playing. I also find that its makes it easier to comunicate with guitar players..I can speak their language.
Plus its just a whole lotta fun!

I've been playing guitar almost as long as bass. I go back and forth. The guitar is good for solo stuff but in a band I prefer bass. Also, preforming my hands are much more comfortable on the bass, the guitar is too cramped and intricate, I don't use a pick.

i played guitar for 3 months B4 i started on bass.... so i have a very unhealthy desire for vintage telecasters hehehe.

i have 2 squire teles and a fender acoustic at the mo and im GAS'in for a JP telecaster thinline.

i see guitar as a different animal to bass so i can drop between them easily tho bass is MY instrument....... and i can give most casual blues guitarists a fright when i change from bass too
