Calling all double bass composers! Im really struggling to find a library that has sufficient range suited for composing solo work. What library do you use and does it include Harmonics up to G6 ? etc.
I have BBC Symphony Orchestra which annoying stops at F#4 - its more of a nuts and bolts orchestra library and isn't editable above for thumb position. It also doesn't go below E2.
I have 8Dio Adagio basses which is similar - great sounds though.
Cinematic Composers Tight Low Strings looks to be editable in terms off extending the range into T position but I don't see that it has the articulations - it also requires Kontact 8 to operate which I need to upgrade and I dont particularly want to do that find that the articulations aren't there (anyone got that - just released ?)
Im working in Musescore 4 and Logic Pro12 . Musescore Basic library has the range but not great sound or articulations , Musescore Strings with all the articulations stops at D5. Ive been using cello libraries but the sound just isnt bass like.
What about the range of Cinematic Strings or Berlin Strings?
Any advice would be welcome (you can probably sense a degree of frustration!)!
