Thank you for the reply. Im having db lessons on a thomman 33, I like it and all say that its a very good instrument for the price. Please do you know any valid opinion abou the 33AS and the 44? I've contact thomann and they say that the 44 is more playable.
I don't know. Really. I am not experienced enough to answer that question.
What I do know is that it is a very popular bass in the student community, around here. Many students do the course with bass, have it for years and then they upgrade. It can take a beating and doesn't fall apart.
Maybe ask your teacher? He must have some experience with them, since you have classes with it.
What I also know is that I noticed a huge (gigantic) difference between my bass and my teacher's Martin Concert 4/4. In all aspects. Sound, comfort, playability, everything. The neck on the Martin is a galaxy away from the Thomann. And I'm glad there is such a difference and I'm glad I get to play that wonderful instrument every week.
Maybe one day, if really evolve in my playing, I will upgrade to something like that.
Don't fool yourself thinking you are getting more of the Thomann than what it would be expected for that price. Of course there are much better instruments around. But they cost more, obviously.
And I think it takes time for a novice to find the sound they want. You need a couple of years (or more) to play acceptably so that you know what you are looking for. In my opinion.
