Double Secret Probation set-up

This isn’t compound radius. It’s a solution for a problem that has existed since the first fender guitar. Moreso the first fender bass.

You mentioned NYC models and many of those do have compound radius. Yes, ski ramp/jump repairs are very common on bolt on necks and have been done since at least the 60s. I worked in a repair shop in the 90s and we did many (pull the upper frets, shave the upper board, refret and dress - note that as often as not pre CBS Fenders have missing, replaced or very thin/partly sanded through 19th fret dot due to this). Of course, not all bolt ons develop this so the idea of doing it preemptively is interesting...
