Yep, that's exactly the same issue that would happen on an EDB1. By limiting the input volume somewhere between 1 and 2, I'm able to fix the issue on the Headway but it makes the signal/noise ratio rather bad at higher volumes. On the other hand, no matter how low I set the input on the Clarus, it doesn't solve the problem. I guess the "level" pot is not the first in the chain, making it more of a "channel level" rather than an "input level". No doubt, the Doubler is better designed in this regard.
