doug is a great player. he played bass on one of my buddies albums, and i got to be in the studio one day when he was laying down some tracks. He started warming up and I was already blown away. Not only is he a great bassist, he's a really nice guy. After he was done tracking, he let me play both of his basses!!

he's also a Smokin' Drummer!

I remember reading about Doug in Bass Player about 15 or so years ago when they used to have a feature on up & coming bass talent.

Listening to the material on his website definitely reinforces what I remember from the article. Great "in the pocket" feel
