Don't know if it has been mentioned...Doug's playing with Bowie was never recorded in the studio noe in an "official release" until now...He is featured in "Cracked Actor" (Live in Los Angeles Forum 1974)

So nice that Doug Rauch is still being spoken about. Wish Bass player would do an article and have players like Santana, Jan Hammer etc speak about him. Love his work with Lenny White. It was recorded so well at that time.

Doug Rauch also played on Lenny White's Venusian Summer check out the tracks Chicken Fried Steak and Away Go Troubles Down the Drain. I remember listening to those tracks for hours as a kid. It just became available on CD a few years ago. Doug Rauch was also one of those "***" moments when I first started playing.

Also check out "Mating Drive" on that Venusian Summer. I initially was blown away by Ray Gomez' guitar solo (justifiably) but I began to check out the bassline on that track- OMG!
