(Dr Bass/Marc Serio)-cab builder accepted >$10k in payments,never delivered gear

Been one year and one month since I sent Marc a check for a cabinet - a 2460 w/ casters and ceramic speakers.
He wrote me out of the blue five weeks ago to say my cab would ship out "next week" - since then, alas, I have received NOTHING.

Around last July he told me the cab was finished except for the grills... then in October he told me the cab was finished except for the tweeters... then a month ago he told me the grills were in and oops! he forgot I ordered casters, so it needs a little more work... then a few weeks later he said, sorry he needed to order crossovers yet...

This is absolutely the last time I send any $$ through the mails for anything other than a phone bill. :rollno:

Since you sent payment through the mail it wouldn't hurt to check with your postmaster. They could do something, but I doubt they would since they're likely understaffed and they look at the bigger scams first.

It seems the number 843-467-4896 on the Dr. Bass website is no longer valid. My e-mails have been ignored so I tried to call about the cab he owes me and found the number had been reassigned to some lady who had no idea what Dr. Bass was. I wonder how many phone calls like mine she has received on this number?

Poor Lady! I thought they usually waited awhile before re-assigning numbers. She'll be dealing with some irate folks once in awhile.

On a tangent, my cell phone number is one number away from a Wal-Mart pharmacy, and at least a few times a month I get calls from these sweet little old ladies who want their prescriptions. All they have to do is hit my '2' rather than the '5' and they get to me. Amazing how often it happens.

At least they don't want to sue me!!
