DR Fat Beams on a Jazz Bass

I just strung up my g&l jb2 with a fresh set of Fat Beams and I'm so stoked about the tone. I tried Dunlop Super Brights and I really didn't like them much. Went back to the old and trusted Fat Beams and BAM! I love that fat, punchy jazz bass tone. Here is a video I made:

Great playing and great tone Man! :)
Nice JB2! I wish G&L still offered that model.
Best wishes,
Brent

Thanks dude! I put Nordstrand NJ4s in her and she sounds great with the Fat Beams. I love this bass
Very nice! :)
I haven't used Fat Beams for a while. I bought a set a few years ago and put them on my AVRI 62 Jazz and didn't think it was a good combination. Too "modern" sounding maybe? The 62 is quite bright to begin with. I have Hi-Beams on my Cirrus 4 and really like them. I'll have to pick up another set of Fat Beams and give them another try.
Best wishes,
Brent

What’re you using on your 62 Jazz now?

Ohh so you’re still on your string journey as well. It’s rough out there!
I know! I used Rotosound Swingbass for the longest time and was quite happy. We are talking decades boys and girls. Did I get the occasional dead string? Of course! But Rotosound always took care of me by providing a new string or new set of strings. Then I became curious about some other strings and I figured why not? Now it's been probably 5 years since I've had Rotos on any of my basses!
Best wishes,
Brent
