Hi! im just confused which one to buy...

hi-beam vs black labels

who have tested both hi-beams and black labels?
which one do you think will have more punch and growl??
which one has better quality when settled?

im not using a warwick...

also, will DR neons have a significant difference in terms of tone??

thanks in advance

I haven't played the Warwicks, but anyway I want to say that the DR Hi-Beams are the best bass strings ever (for my taste). They are simply awesome. Long lasting, very bright but not harsh, easy on the fingertips. Hi-Beams are steel strings while Neons are nickels. That makes a big difference since nickel strings have a comparatively mellower tone and lose their initial brightness faster than steels.

+1 on this. I've not used the Waricks but the DR's are great strings. I've tried the Lowriders and the Sunbeams but always come back to the Highbeams. They are great long lasting strings. They feel and sound awesome. I've been using them for 18 years or so.

I've used both and the Warwick black labels dont even compare In my opinion. I have tried a lot of different strings and DR Hi Beams are my favs. They are the brightest and longest lasting string I've ever used. DR Lo Riders are also great but I like the Hi Beams better
