DR Neon Strings

My first ever DR Neons (standard guage) I put on were the orange for my black Ibanez right before Halloween. People thought they were awesome :)

I've played/practiced everyday since (fingers, no pick) and I see only a few tiny wear marks on them. I am not a tone guy so I can't comment on that, but I thought they were great. The feel at first is a bit odd. Almost gritty, like a clay pot or something. I got used to it in about an hour and haven't regretted them for a second. :bassist:

I just ordered the 4 string DR 'rainbow' set for our upcoming gig (from www.bassstringsonline.com of course) :hyper:

Thanks for the advice, all! :-) I went ahead and ordered the multi color pack.... those aurora strings look pretty great too - am thinking to try those, next. Can't wait until something needs strings! Muahahahaha! :-)

Looks awesome! They feel a bit chalky.... nothing drastic though. Someone said they felt like clay/pottery.... yeah - I get that vibe off of them..... kind of like a matte finish on photos....

As for tone - they might be a bit duller than some other uncoated new strings, but they are loads brighter than the 5+ yr. old strings I had on there before. Heh heh. Niiiiiice.

Next : Auroras....
