DR Sunbeams??

I want to reinstall some old but good cond DR Sunbeams that I removed awhile back to try DR Red Devils. Well I threw 2-3 sets of old, removed, strings into a couple seperate plastic baggies, unlabeled.

Does anyone know if the Sunbeam nickels have a grey/silver colored cloth wrap? I also have some old Lakland SS's and they did have a grey-ish cloth wrap. Just want to make sure I pull the correct strings out of said baggy to use again. Or is there even cloth wrap at all on the Sunbeams? I just dont recall. Thanks for any help.

No wrappings on mine and the ball ends on all 4 srings are brass - not color coded.

no they dont have a wrapping

thanks should be easy to spot em now. I really like the Red Devils but they look sloppy now with the coating peeling off but I feel they still sound good. I dont recall how the Sunbeam nickels sound, I do know I liked em at first and I pulled em off still in very good condition. I just wanted some red strings to go on my redburst 55-02D w/maple board.

Ok Im over that now, they did look cool tho.

The only DR's that have silk wrapping are the flatwounds. They all have the brass balls on the end.

Sunbeams are one of the best nickel strings available IMO.
